I am currently hiring for our care team at The Sarah House, and I want the process to feel as human as the work itself. If you have ever wanted a job where residents know your name and your coworkers feel like family, I would like to hear from you.
Most people who apply here are not looking for another shift to fill. They are looking for somewhere to stay. That is why our process is short, personal and honest. You will speak with real people, see the house before you accept anything, and know what the job asks of you before day one.
Our team is not built on turnover. Several of our caregivers have been here between five and ten years, and that stability is the first thing I protect. When staff stay, residents feel safe, families trust us, and the work becomes far more rewarding for everyone involved.
Good care starts with how the caregiver is treated. We keep our houses small on purpose, so you are never one of forty names on a rota. You learn each resident properly, you notice when something changes, and you have time to sit with someone rather than rush past.
We also promote from within. Caregivers at The Sarah House have moved into med tech roles and into leadership, and that path is open to anyone willing to learn. If you are new to senior care, that is fine. What I cannot teach is patience and warmth, so those matter far more than a long resume.
There are five steps and no guessing games. From the moment you send your application to your first supported shift, you will always know where you stand and what happens next. Most candidates move from application to offer within one to two weeks.
Start with our short online form. It takes a few minutes and asks about your experience, your availability and the hours that actually suit your life. No cover letter is required.
If your application fits an opening, we call within a few days. It is a friendly conversation about the role, the shifts, the pay and anything you want to ask.
You come to the house and meet the team you would work with. You see the residents, the rooms and the pace of a normal day, because a job description can never show you that honestly.
We complete the standard Florida screening and check your references. We handle it quickly and keep you updated, so nothing goes quiet while you wait.
You receive your offer, your schedule and a proper orientation. You shadow an experienced caregiver until you feel confident, and someone is always nearby during your first weeks.
Send your application today and someone from The Sarah House will be in touch within a few days.

Experience helps, but it is never the whole picture. I look for people who are reliable, who speak kindly when nobody is watching, and who understand that a resident having a difficult morning needs patience rather than efficiency.
Dependability matters most, because our residents notice absence more than anything. Beyond that, I look for calm communication with families, real respect for privacy and dignity, and a willingness to ask for help rather than guess. Certification is welcome, and we support the right person in earning it.
Hiring is the most important thing I do, because the people we choose become the daily experience of every resident here. That is why I keep the process personal, and why I would rather wait for the right caregiver than fill a shift with the wrong one.
If this sounds like the place you have been hoping to find, take the next step. Send the form, come and see the house, and meet the team before you decide. Working at The Sarah House is a commitment, and I want you to make it with your questions answered.
No. Experience helps, but we train the right people from the beginning. If you are patient, reliable and enjoy older adults, we will teach you the rest during orientation and shadowing shifts.
Most candidates go from application to offer within one to two weeks. The background screening is usually the longest step, and we keep you updated while it is being completed.
We hire for day, evening and overnight shifts, including weekends. Tell us your availability on the application form and we will be honest about what we can offer you.
Yes. We hire caregivers, med techs and support staff, and current caregivers are encouraged to train into med tech roles when they are ready.
Absolutely. Call us on (386) 267-8012 and we will arrange a time for you to come and see the house, meet the team and ask anything you want before applying.
Meet the people you would be working alongside, then send your application when you are ready.
